Customs:

If you travel using long distance buses, train or fly withinChinayou may be required to put your luggage through a scanner. Every station will have a bustling security zone. You are not allowed to carry sharp objects with you such as knives and for domestic flights you are also prohibited to take through customsbeijew(though you may buy it in the airport duty free area after security) – the strong ‘white wine’ of China. These security measures can be a surprise if you buy one of the beautifully decorated Uighur knives found throughout Xinjiang, only for it to be confiscated with no reimbursement. There are however, no personal searches or scans at present – only baggage checks.
